Overview: The Kentucky Farm to School: Producer Engagement Grant is a mini-grant designed to help farmers improve their farm to school marketing efforts in Kentucky. Successful projects will build strong partnerships between farmers and local sponsoring food service directors, and address the three C's of comprehensive farm to school plans: Cafeteria, Classroom, and Community. The goals of the grant program are to increase the number of Kentucky farmers marketing to local schools, and to increase the number of school districts buying from local farmers. The grant can be used by farmers and their team for outreach, marketing, supplies, and equipment needed to grow local farm to school engagement.
